![]() ![]() Retrohaling is doable on this cigar, but I suggest going light in order to enjoy it. The same tasting notes appear on the retrohale, but amplified. Notes of nuts and almonds balances out the overall taste. The notes of leather seem to be the predominate taste, strengthened by black pepper and black coffee. The draw is absolutely perfect and unless I overdo it, the cigar is indicating it will burn nice and cool. ![]() The ash appears to be burning pretty clean. The cigar is fuller in body and gives off an average amount of smoke. The cigar immediately begins with a classic cigar taste and a basket of well balanced notes. The foot of the cigar has a more musty aroma. The body of the cigar has a cuban-esque aroma quality to it. The My Father band and the second Le Bijou band give that quality, heritage artwork to the cigar. The foot of the cigar is dressed with an orange ribbon. The wrapper has noticeable seems and veins but looks enticing. ![]() The wrapper is not toothy and instead has a smooth and oily surface. The habano oscuro wrapper is medium brown with a reddish hue and the occasional patch of light brown. I almost feel like I could go into war with this cigar and have it still be perfectly fine on the other side. It almost feels like it’s saying, “You got your money’s worth on this one.” Though only a 50 ring gauge, the size feels substantial in your hand (in a good way). The visual appeal of this cigar is stunning and striking. The ‘1922’ is the birth year of Pepin Garcia’s father, Jose Garcia. My Father is one of the fastest growing companies in the cigar business.
